ent. I was hired to instigate an environmental campaign that spanned the entirety of my work there and explored many different aspects from research in global affairs to local situations.
The department wanted to have a larger presence on the campus and wanted to spread their vision and what they were doing to better SUNY Oswego’s eco-footprint. I was tasked to communicate these ideas to the general public, be it what was going on down the road or how to be a little more conscience of your own environmental impact (turn off your lights!). The campaign was a large scale project that involved many hours of research to get the right information. You’d be surprised how many different ways there are to recycle. We made bookmarks to be distributed in the library (who doesn’t love a free bookmark?) and stickers to be place on light switches and power sockets as an easy reminder. Posters on how to recycle and provide eco-information were printed large scale. It really was a rewarding campaign to be a part of and see it’s positive effects on the college campus.
